Dylan's Sports Schedule

Dylan is one busy little guy. He started wrestling last week and he loves it. He is doing really well and practices Tuesday and Thursday evenings with the advanced group. Jake is coaching again and he really enjoys it too. I think that their first tournament is the end of February. We also signed Dylan up for baseball this year. Baseball starts at the end of March so he will be pretty dang busy for a couple of weeks. Below is the links to the websites for both baseball and wrestling. The wrestling one has a schedule on it already but the baseball one has yet to be updated.

Dylan is a snowboarding machine!

Dylan got a snowboard for Christmas and he got to use it for the first time today! He had a great time and I think that he is already better than I am! How sad. The boys loved Mission Ridge. The people were friendly, close parking, and short lines. We will definitely be going back (for those reasons and for the reason that it is about 30 minutes from the house).

NCW Expo 2010

This is the booth that we put together for the Business Expo here in Wenatchee last week. Davis Furniture let us borrow some really nice pieces to make the booth a little more comfy. We also got donations from lots of local downtown businesses to give-away during the event. My favorite thing was the gum that we put "Stick with Downtown" on! What a cheesy idea huh? But cute!

Mac and Cheese!

On Sunday I had a little extra time so I decided to make home-made mac and cheese. I looked for a recipe online and found one of Rachel Ray's. Surprise! It turned out really good! Lily loved it (as you can see) and had 2nd helpings. Although, I did think that it got better after a couple of days. I will post the recipe below in case anyone is interested ;)
Ingredients:
  • one lb elbow mac
  • salt
  • 2 Tbl extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pkg hot dogs
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 Tbl flour
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 2 cups milk
  • pepper
  • 1 Tbl spicy mustard
  • 2 Tbl ketsup
  • 3 cups shredded cheese

Preparation:

Cook macaroni for 7 minutes. Heat broiler and set rack 12 inches heat. In a large non-stick skillet heat 1 Tbl evoo at medium hight heat. Add hot dogs and brown both sides. Remove dogs and put them on a paper towel-lined plate. Add another Tbl evoo and butter. As soon as butter melts cook onion 4-5 minutes and then add flour and cook another minute. Add beer and cook off completely. Wisk in milk and bring to a bubble, then season with salt and pepper and add the ketsup and mustard. Lower heat and add 2 cups of cheese, stir to melt. Adjust salt, pepper, ketsup and mustard to your taste. Combine hot dogs, pasta and sauce. Pour into a large casserole dish and top with remaining cheese.

ENJOY!

January

Playing in the snow.

Watching big brother.

We went snowmobiling this last weekend here in Wenatchee. Troy and Karen came up and we stayed the night in their trailer. It was a great time! Dylan even rode a snowmobile by himself! He is getting so old.

Her new Tinkerbell outfit. Thanks Auntie Emily!

Proud daddy!

He loves to hold her!

Our new neice Hannah Karen Palmer was born at 3:30 a.m. on December 27 at 7lbs 0oz and 20 inches long. She is beautiful and perfect!

Best Friends

Mack and Lillian are pretty close and always have been. Here they are sitting together with Lillian into my purse with my phone and some deposit slips. What a trouble-maker!

Christmas Day

The kids got plenty of stuff for Christmas. Dylan got a snowboard, flat-screen tv, and a wad of cash. Lillian's favorite gifts were a play stroller, and table and chairs. She loves the table and chairs and carries them all over! Unfortunately, I did not get many great photos.

Christmas Cookies!

Grandma Karen makes Christmas cookies for the kids to decorate every year. They had a great time and made a big mess! And, the best part is Santa ate them all! Make sure and go to the youtube link and watch Lily making a mess, dancing & singing. It is pretty dang funny!

Like the feather boas? I LOVE them!
